Ophelia's Flower Collection
The Ophelia's Flower collection, designed by Vicky Lovatt has been inspired by her desire to bring the flowers from Shakespeare's play 'Hamlet' into a work of art.
Ophelia a character from this play did not choose the flowers randomly and neither has Vicky; Daisies (representing innocence) are woven in amongst Violets (faithfulness and lost youth), Poppies (sleep) and Wild Pansies. To complete her design Vicky has set 'Ophelia's Flowers' against a rich mulberry background.
